THE BIG EASY We knew we didn’t want to drive straight through from DFW to Gainesville, FL, and since Daniel had never really been to New Orleans, we decided to take a break and hang out for a day. We arrived in time to meet some friends from our seminary days for dinner. We had a great evening catching up! When you book a hotel in NOLA, you never really know what you’ll get. I tried to balance cleanliness/reviews, location, and cost. I booked something that I thought was named after the ... Read More...
GO FROGS!
GO FROGS! Daniel and I spent time with ministry leaders and touring the University of Texas-Arlington campus. Now don’t get me wrong -- I am not usually a sappy mom. I love my kids but I have come to realize how healthy it is for Daniel and I to set ... Read More...
BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS
BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS It was a special day celebrating two family birthdays - Daniel & our oldest daughter share a birthday together (he affectionately jokes that she stole his birthday 11 years ago and he hasn’t had one since lol). It wasn’t the normal way to spend it - including 10 hours on the road - as we traveled from Kansas City to the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex. Nevertheless, the kids were excited to see their aunt, uncle, cousins, and grandparents. And since there were two other ... Read More...
