Hello there! My name is Leah. I’m honored you’re here and I hope you stick around. I know there are a gazillion other blogs out there and you have your own life to live, so I’m hopeful that your time spent with me blesses, encourages, and even challenges you. Life is short and I personally struggle constantly between living in the present, being fully engaged with what is before me, and living for eternity, surrendering my life for the pleasure of my Creator, hoping to be a willing instrument in His great purpose and plan. I’m praying this blog will be a good marriage of the two.
What’s my story? You see, while I studied at Texas A&M University (gotta give a shout-out to one of my earthly loves), the Lord awakened me to know perfect love and tender forgiveness, in Him, for the first time in my life. It swallowed me whole so that I desired nothing more than to follow Him wherever He would lead, for the rest of my life. This journey has challenged me to my core, at times, and yet has filled me with overflowing joy. I never envisioned myself being a missionary, homeschooler, natural health advocate, pastor’s wife, mom of four, business owner, or team leader. I have felt I was a poor choice and ill-equipped many times, learning everything as I go, at what feels like mach-speed. The beauty of this is that I have come to depend greatly on His wisdom, strength, and help, all the while keeping me humble. It also helps me to let go, laugh often, and enjoy the ride.
This blog reflects my obedience in a new season of my journey. He has designed each of us in His image, to be beautiful, influential, and to have purpose. I desperately want to use my voice for the things that are important – both for this world and for all eternity. With that in mind, I commit to trusting Him as I forge ahead on the path He has created for me. I hope I can encourage you to do the same.
Blessings,
